Every activity on this campus starts with the ASB. It is the vision, dedication, and spirit of the ASB that makes our campus come to life and inspires greatness in those around you. It is the imagination of the dreamers and the hard work of the doers that can transform our very culture into something inspiring.
ASB is a fun place to be because you have the power to make people believe in something greater. But ASB is life, and requires a total commitment. Students in ASB help run all the events on campus such as: freshmen orientation, rallies, assemblies, homecoming, dances, graduation and more.
Students in ASB also play an important part in big school decisions. They vote on how the clubs and groups on campus will spend their monies, manage the school’s activities calendar, and work their hardest to embody and create school spirit.
It takes long hours, the ability to work as a team, the need to constantly rise above negativity, and the responsibility to model what we wish to see in all students. It requires you to be a leader. So, if you’re up for the challenge, continue reading below.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: In order to be eligible for ASB you must uphold a 2.5 GPA or higher with 0 F’s, keep satisfactory attendance, and attend the mandatory 7:30 AM leadership meetings everyday unless otherwise instructed.

OPEN POSITIONS FOR ASB
Commissioner of Clubs
• Run monthly All-Club meetings & plan multi-club events (i.e. food fairs, etc.)
Commissioner of Community Relations
• Connect ASB to middle schools, local businesses, & community groups
Commissioner of Community Service
• Plan community service events to spread awareness & help our community
Commissioners of Entertainment (3+)
• Be the ASB DJ at lunch, sporting events, rallies, assemblies, etc.
Commissioners of Pep (2+)
• Coordinate with cheer and band & plan ASB rallies, assemblies, etc. Must be
in band or cheer.
Commissioners of Publications (3)
• Connect ASB to Viking Scroll, Yearbook, and Vista to publicize ASB events (need to be a part of one of 3 groups)
Commissioners of Publicity (5+)
• Design posters, fliers, marquee & more to announce ASB activities/events and
keep bulletin boards updated every week
Commissioners of Social Media (2-3)
• Promote school events & update followers daily on ASB social media accounts (ex: promotional videos)
Historians (2)
• Photograph all ASB events & maintain ASB scrapbook on ASB google drive
Webmaster (1-2)
• Assist with keeping up our school website & promote school events
